    The comedian and star lives close to Hampton Court in Surrey with his wife Tara and their three children – Millie, Arlo and Louie – and previously said he has "never felt the need" to share the details of their daily life on platforms like Instagram and Twitter.

    "I’m not interested in telling people I’m off to Magaluf for three weeks or that I am buying a Cornish pasty. It doesn’t make sense to me," Lee told in October 2021.

    However, the father-of-three did reveal an insight into his home during the interview, in which it was revealed he starts writing at his desk at 7.30am each morning.

    "Nearby is a pinball machine, a pool table set up for a game, and a full-sized Dalek – he once appeared in – whose weaponry is pointing at us," the feature explains.

    Meanwhile, after spending his mornings writing, Lee often enjoys spending the afternoon working in his garden. "Turning the vegetable patch is easier than thinking of jokes. I always think of it [writing] like building a house: you build the foundations, you build the walls and you put the roof on. And then you wallpaper it. The jokes are the wallpaper with sitcom. The hard bit is the part which no one ever sees, the foundations," the 53-year-old told the publication.

    Lee grew up in Southport but has lived near Hampton Court for many years, and works nearby to film his shows including .

    His latest show, , sees him team up with Holly Willoughby to put celebrities including Dianne Buswell, Professor Green and Tamzin Outhwaite through their paces in a series of cold challenges designed to push their minds and bodies to the limit.
