Robbie Williams confirmed for Take That 25th anniversary tour

As Take That approach their 25th anniversary, they've got a real treat instore for fans: Robbie Williams be involved! The hit maker will join his former band mates for a tour and they're even planning to write new music.

    As Take That approach their 25th anniversary, they've got a real treat instore for fans: Robbie Williams be involved! The hit maker will join his former band mates for a tour – and they're even planning to write new music.

    Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald confirmed the exciting news during a chat with , but sadly it seems not all of the members will be back for good. Jason Orange quit the group in 2014, and Howard, 48, confessed he's got no plans to return.

    Howard explained: "We've been in touch with Jason and we've been in touch with Robbie. Jason is in his place where he is now and he's not got any intention at the moment to be back in the band. Whereas Robbie – We've been talking to Robbie about it, and it might be that if we do a 25th anniversary album, that we do some co-writing or some extra tracks on that."

    Mark added: "I think it would be nice to do something with him. In our minds at the moment there's an intention to do some new tracks, a greatest hits and a tour, then we'll see."

    Take That released debut album, , in 1992 and went on to enjoy huge success before Robbie left in 1995 and the band split a year later.

    The four remaining members reunited in 2006 in what has been one of the most lucrative pop comebacks ever. Since then, they've scored four consecutive number one albums and increased their total records sold worldwide to 45million.
